Oklahoma University Fraternity Closed Over Racist Video - NBCNews.com

Oklahoma University is investigating a video circulating on social media allegedly showing members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity singing racist language, the school’s president said Sunday.
“If OU students are involved, this behavior will not be tolerated and will be addressed very quickly,” Oklahoma University President David Boren said in a tweeted statement, adding that confirmation would cause him to ban the fraternity chapter from campus. “This behavior is reprehensible and contrary to all of our values.”
The video shows students who appear to be on a bus singing, “There will never be a n****r in SAE.”
Late Sunday, Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s national headquarters issued an apology for the video and announced that it had closed its OU chapter and suspended students involved.
“We apologize for the unacceptable and racist behavior of the individuals in the video, and we are disgusted that any member would act in such a way,” SAE said in a statement. “Furthermore, we are embarrassed by this video and offer our empathy not only to anyone outside the organization who is offended but also to our brothers who come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities.

Russia Charges 2 in Killing of Opposition Leader - Voice of America

Russian authorities Sunday charged two Chechens with the murder of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov and detained three others for questioning in his killing late last month within sight of the Kremlin.

All five appeared in a Moscow court as officials continued their investigation of the February 27 shooting death of Nemtsov, a staunch foe of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He was shot four times in the back as he walked across a bridge with his girlfriend.

State news media identified the two officially accused of murdering the 55-year-old Nemtsov as Zaur Dadayev, a deputy commander for the Chechen police, and Anzor Gubashev, who worked for a private security company in Moscow.

Authorities are detaining three others, including one identified as Gubashev’s younger brother, Shagid. The other two are Ramzan Bakhayev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov.

Chechen Officer Admits Guilt In Opposition Leader Nemtsov's Murder - VICE News

One of two men accused of taking part in the murder of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov has admitted his guilt, a Moscow judge said.

Two reported natives of Russia’s restive Chechnya republic, Zaur Dadayev and Anzor Gubashev, were charged on Sunday with involvement in the murder of Nemtsov, who was shot four times in the back within sight of the Kremlin on February 27.
Judge Natalia Mushnikova said at a hearing that Dadayev had confessed.
“Dadayev’s involvement in committing this crime is confirmed by, apart from his own confession, the totality of evidence gathered as part of this criminal case,” Mushnikova told the court.
In the defendant’s cage, Gubashev covered his face with pieces of paper and said he was not guilty.
Three other men—Ramzan Bakhayev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Gubashev’s brother Shagid—were also detained as suspects in the case but have not been charged. They also denied they had any part in the crime, but investigators “have evidence they were involved,” a representative told Russia’s Interfax news agency.
Bailiffs bent the suspects over and held their hands high above their heads as they brought them into court.  The judge ordered all five men arrested without bail.
