If You're A Dropbox User, You Can Get 100GB Free OneDrive Storage: Here's How

In a bid to entice consumers to shift to OneDrive, Microsoft is offering existing Dropbox users free 100GB storage space for a year on the company’s own cloud storage service.

Microsoft is playing the unseasonal Santa for current Dropbox users by gifting 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage for a year for free.
In a bid to entice consumers to shift to OneDrive, the free cloud storage service from the company, Microsoft is dangling the 100GB space for free.
Last week, the Redmond-based company rewarded users who signed up for its Bing Rewards with 100GB of storage for free for two years. Microsoft often has promotions to bring on board new users in an effort to expand the reach of its OneDrive cloud storage platform and thwart rivals like Dropbox and Box.
Existing Dropbox users only need to sign in with their account to avail of the free storage of 100GB. One need not sign up to the OneDrive service. It’s as simple as that. The only catch is that the free storage is valid for one year.

At this juncture, it is not clear if the Microsoft OneDrive storage promotion is for a limited period. We suggest that those interested in the offer jump on it and claim the free 100GB of OneDrive storage in case it is a temporary promo.
However, do remember that once the one-year timeframe for the promotion lapses, users will have to either opt for the free 15GB storage plan or pay if they intend to continue using the 100GB storage space.
Considering that Dropbox offers only 2GB, the Microsoft offer is pretty enticing. Either way, there’s no harm in trying out the OneDrive service for a year as it will not cost you a penny. If the features do not go down well with you, you can always go back to Dropbox.
